Our Itinerary
One would think that a world cruise and a month in Italy would be enough travel for one year. But, for us, the temptation to cruise through the Panama Canal was just too much. We been through the Suez Canal twice now (north to south in 2016 and south to north in 2018), so it just made sense to us to check out the Panama Canal.
The cruise leaves from Los Angeles and ends in New Orleans. Not one to pass up an opportunity, we are book-ending the cruise with two more adventures.
Margaret's cousin Ginny and her husband Mike live in Long Beach and have invited us to stay with them for a few days before the ship sails. Actually the ship docks in Long Beach, which makes it convenient.
Since the cruise ends in New Orleans, Mike's dream of visiting the World War II Museum will soon come true. Our friends Julie and Bill Chase (from the DC area) will meet us there for four days of sightseeing, museum hopping, dining, listening to great music, and a whopping good time.
